The most-worn thing we make, and the least decorated. Oil-waxed hide over a single folded body, closed by a roll and one strap so it takes a laptop or three days of clothes without changing shape. The straps are anchored on solid gold rings rather than stitched tape — the point at which most bags fail is the point we over-built.
All MBALI hardware — seals, chains, rings, buckles and feet — is cast in solid brass and finished in 24-carat gold. Africa is where gold comes from; we see no reason to hide it in silver.
