Private Commissions
Beyond the nine.
A private commission is a piece that does not exist in the permanent range: a silhouette of your own, a hide held back for you, or an existing piece reworked to your specification. We accept a limited number each season so that no commission waits behind another.

Conversation
You tell us what the piece is for and how it must live. We tell you honestly whether we are the right house to make it, and what it will take.

Drawing and hide
We draw the silhouette to scale and set aside the hide it will be cut from, named in the Origin Register before anything else is agreed.

Written specification
Measured dimensions, hardware, thread, lining, monogram and finish are confirmed in writing, with the full price and the dispatch window.
- 04
Making
A deposit of 50% opens the bench. Ten to sixteen weeks from confirmation, with progress photographs at cutting, stitching and finishing.
What we will not do
We do not copy another house's design, we do not work with protected or endangered species, and we do not take a commission we cannot document from hide to bench. Where a request falls outside what we can evidence, we will say so rather than quote for it.
